Hiring an interior designer is like dating.

We all want it to be a great fit and inspiring experience from the very beginning. But what really happens when you hire a designer?

Let me tell you what you can expect when you take a leap into an interior design project with Justyna Remijn – click below to schedule a complimentary interior design consultation:

IN-HOME INTERIOR DESIGN CONSULTATION

The idea is simple. This time is yours. During an in-home interior design consultation, you can expect me to answer any of your interior design questions and help you creating your dream interior. I will learn about your vision and enhance it with my practical experience and design expertise. I will guide you toward implementing the best interior design solutions for your lifestyle and unique needs.

To make the best of this time, gather any materials or drawings you have, and outline your questions. Be ready to take plenty of notes during your consultation!

Interior Design Consultation is EUR 450,00 + preparation and driving time. This covers a private 2-hour interior design session that will solve your biggest interior dilemmas and help you taking next steps.

If you would like to continue working with me after your consultation, I can create a proposal to resume design for your project.

COMPLETE INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICE

You want your house to feel like a home — cozy, inviting, warm — but you’re not sure how to make the space inside your four walls feel like you belong. Let me help you.

My process is collaborative and built on trust. I strive to find a balance between your taste and my expertise, and transform your home into deeply personalized functional space.

I want you to hire me because you like my work – and my aesthetic – and you feel good when you are working with me.

Initially, I will talk to you on the phone learning about who you are and how you envision working with me. During that conversation, I will answer any questions you might have about my process and approach. And if it seems like we might work well together, we will set up a time to meet in person for an initial interior design consultation.

If you’ve never worked with a professional interior designer, here’s a short summary of the general process.

Of course, the flow will be customized to your needs—depending on the project, you’ll need more or less support.

Our first and most important meeting

During our first meeting with you, I listen and observe. I ask questions to learn more about the project, your interior design preferences, your lifestyle needs, and most importantly, you. We then discuss scope, anticipated budget, and timing. My goal is to understand you, and your personal, family and social rituals so that I can create a home that reflects the way you live. After the brief I will send you an interior design proposal specifying the scope of works and your investment, followed by a formal contract.

The foundation of the design

Based on what I’ve learned about your lifestyle, design needs and interior plans, I develop a carefully thought through interior design concept.
This includes room layouts and flows, samples of finishes, paint, flooring and fabrics to provide you with an initial overview of the interior design. At this stage I also present initial mood boards and create the interior look and feel story for your review and feedback.
The schematic design will be presented to you during the personal consultation.

Making the vision more visual

After final approval of the schematic interior design, I develop floor plans, and 2D/3D visualization of your new home. Colors and finishes are refined; furniture, fabrics and equipment are selected and presented for your review and final approval during the second personal consultation.

Bids & contractors

At this stage, whenever required I invite my partner professionals to work alongside and support me with identifying the items necessary for realization of your interior design project. We select materials for custom-made furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, and lightning. Detailed cabinetry drawings and technical drawings are also developed during this phase.
I’ll help you through this exciting process by meeting the contractors on site and being available to answer questions. During this phase I can also support you with obtaining the quotes for construction/renovation works.

Shopping time

After the interior design is created, presented and approved by you the actual shopping of all the items happens. This is a very intense and important time of the interior design process and often filled with many obstacles and problems.

That is why I offer you an extra support, from preparing a detailed specification, which you can use for completing all purchases on your own, to arranging everything on your behalf.

I will communicate with all suppliers regarding specifications, ordering, delivery, and prices, and present you with a clear overview for your final approval. I will handle all purchases on your behalf, if you wish so. I will also deal directly with the supplier for damaged or wrong item replacement or refund saving you all the hassle and stress. You can count on my support in finding a perfect replacement for the items that happened to be sold out or discontinued before you decided to purchase them.

Questions and answers

During an interior design project there are often small (or big!) changes that you might make. I’ll work with you during the entire process and stay involved until the very end to make sure everything is going according to your plan. During this phase, I:

– Am available to answer any questions the hired contractors may have during the interior design project execution

– Provide extra quality check for any custom made items and furniture

– Provide site visits to ensure the rebuilding/renovation is processing as per interior design drawings
